Double Check the Measurements
Sizing is one of the biggest risks when buying second-hand clothing online. A medium in one brand might fit like a small in another, while vintage sizing often runs completely differently from modern clothing. Labels are useful, but measurements are far more reliable.
Before ordering, compare the listing’s measurements with clothing that already fits well. For tops and dresses, check the chest, shoulders, waist, and total length. For premium, luxury, or designer items, take extra care. Use platforms with authentication services where possible, and compare details such as stitching, hardware, serial numbers, labels, and packaging against known genuine examples. If the price seems impossibly low, there is usually a reason.

Even a great listing can go wrong, so check the return window, refund policy, shipping cost, and buyer protection rules before paying. Use secure checkout systems and payment methods that offer stronger consumer protections if an item arrives damaged, fake, or not as described.
